OK, most of you already knew that. I am writing this only because I will now stop posting there. Not just the automatic posts generated by this blog, but also my personal posts. G✝ (Picture taken from Jürgen Christoffel's G+ post.) I considered migrating my content from G ✝ to somewhere else (e.g. yet another … Continue reading Google✝ is dead
Continue reading Sie wollen mich einstellen?
RDP Wrapper Library
I need to check this out: The goal of the RDP Wrapper Library project is to enable Remote Desktop Host support and concurrent RDP sessions on reduced functionality systems for home usage. RDP Wrapper works as a layer between Service Control Manager and Terminal Services, so the original termsrv.dll file remains untouched. Also this method … Continue reading RDP Wrapper Library
DeltaChat Messenger
DeltaChat is a messenger that uses email as the transport medium, so potentially almost everybody already has an account for it. Today, they announced a new release, not only for the existing Android app but also for Desktop (Mac and Linux only so far) and iOS. They also say that they did not see any negative effects. Source: Telefonierverbot in c't 01/2019 page 172 (in German)

This is a global setting. I also fixed a bug I recently introduced which resulted in the Welcome … Continue reading New option in Delphi Help Expert to open in web browser
You can now follow me on Diaspora
Edit: I have deleted this account. Too many strange "discussions" there. I already have Twitter for that. I created an account on Pluspora (I'm dz@pluspora.com *1). If the WordPress plugin I just installed works as expected, all blog posts will be available there. And if I understand correctly how Diaspora works, it should be possible … Continue reading You can now follow me on Diaspora
Delphi Custom Container Pack fixed for Delphi 2005 to 10.2
In yesterday's update of the Delphi Custom Container Pack to support Delphi 10.3 Rio I had broken it for older Delphi versions. It no longer compiled for Delphi 2005 to 10.2. This is now fixed. Discussion about this post in the international Delphi Praxis forum.
Delphi Known IDE Packages Manager updated to Delphi 10.3 Rio
A while ago, after my post on Known IDE Packages in Delphi I wrote a the KnownIdePackagesManager tool which lists those packages, allows to disable and enable some of them and also set the package description for those packages that don't have a meaningful description. Today, I updated the tool to support Delphi 10.3 Rio. … Continue reading Delphi Known IDE Packages Manager updated to Delphi 10.3 Rio
